To:Ship owners, management companies andCaptain on board Subject: New Belize Circular TD-IMM-GOB002-24
On February 9, 2024, the International Merchant Marine Registry of Belize (IMMARBE) has revoked its existing Tokyo MoU policy "Circular TD/IMM/GOB0001-19" and replaced it with the re-issued Tokyo MoU policy TD-IMM-GOB002-24 (latest revised version) in order to eliminate substandard ships in the Belize fleet and continuously improve its performance in the Tokyo MoU. The new policy is intended to clearly instruct all ship operators and RO/RSOs operating or expected to operate in the Tokyo MoU, and it is expected that its re-issued policy will prevent ships from being detained at the primary stage and will take simplified actions to prevent ships calling at Tokyo MoU ports from being detained again.
