PMA MMC 378 - Amendments to the International FSS CODE

    The purpose of this Circular is to inform users of the Panama Flag Registry about the content of Resolution MSC.403 (96) (Adopted on May 19, 2016), and the Resolutions MSC.410(97) (Adoptedon November 25, 2016), both of them establishing Amendments to theInternational CODE for Fire Safety SYSTEM (FSS CODE), that came into force onJanuary 1, 2020.

    We instruct all Recognized organization duly authorize to act on behalf of Panama Republic, to take properactions for the proper implementation of the above mentioned amendments.

    We remind all Panama flagged vessels of 500 GT and above, that they shall maintain a FSS Code and amendments onboard.
